Maybe you’re not broken.

I spent this week in the Canadian Rockies at the Actionable Summit. First time in Banff. Stayed in Canmore. Hiked multiple days. The scenery is absolutely epic.

But that’s not what I want to tell you about.

It’s the people.

I was in rooms all week with founders, coaches, and leaders who are building things. Real things. Hard things. And what I noticed, in almost every conversation, is that the most impressive people in the room were also the most honest about their fears.

That landed for me.

Because I think a lot of us walk around thinking we’re the only ones who feel this way. The doubt. The imposter syndrome. The voice that says who do you think you are.

I know that voice. It’s been with me through this entire journey of building Giganti Group. Some weeks I feel like I’m on mission. Other weeks I wonder what I’m doing.

But this week normalized that for me in a way I really needed.

My friend Amanda Northcutt, the CEO of Level Up Creators, said something on one of our hikes that keeps coming back to me. She said if you’re not having fears and doubts at times, maybe you’re a narcissist.

She’s right. The doubt means you care. It means you’re paying attention. It means you’re in the arena and not just watching from the stands.

One of the things I loved about this summit was the dinners. At each table there were questions to answer. Real questions. Not small talk. And the conversations that came from that were incredible. There’s something about sitting across from someone, sharing a meal, and being genuinely curious about their story. It opens everything up.

Curiosity was one of the big themes of the week for me. Everyone there was curious. About each other. About the work. About what’s possible. And that curiosity created this energy in the room that I can’t fully explain but I felt it the whole time.

My buddy Eduardo Briceno was there. Fellow author. Speaker. One of the best in the world on growth mindset. The way he talks about learning and getting better is next level. I’m sure he’s not immune to doubt either. Nobody is. But he keeps showing up and doing the work. That’s the common thread with everybody I met this week.

The whole reason I was at this summit is because Actionable is one of my partners. They help quantify behavior change. Real data behind whether someone is actually moving the needle. It takes coaching from subjective to measurable. Game changer for the work I do with companies.

But here’s what I really want you to take away from this.

You’re not the only one who has doubts. The most successful people I know have them too. The difference is they don’t let the doubt make the decision. They feel it. They acknowledge it. And they take the next step anyway.

So if you’re in a season right now where you’re questioning yourself or feeling like you’re not where you should be, I want to encourage you.

You’re not broken. You’re building.

And the fact that you care enough to doubt yourself means you’re exactly the kind of person who’s going to figure it out.

Get in the right rooms. Stay curious. Keep showing up.

The doubt gets quieter when you’re surrounded by people who are honest about theirs.

Keep building! You’ve got this!

If you’re looking for that kind of room, the next With Intention Leadership Cohort starts this Thursday, 5/21. It’s a small group of people doing the real work together. No pretending. Just honest growth. If that sounds like something you need right now, reply to this email. I’d love to tell you more. And if it’s not for you, that’s okay. Stay in the fight. More on the Cohort here.

Talk soon,

Jon
